I swam there as well. The surf may seem benign but it commands respect, even from strong swimmers. The beaches of Maui are beautiful, especially at night.

I’ve lived and worked there 30 years ago , when it was only a dirtroad to it. This point of view is of the cliff dividing Big & Little beach . Waves at Big Beach are good for boogieboarding & skimboarding…rarely surfable waves due to huge backlash , Little beach way better break but high surf rare on the Southside. Once after work we hit morning swell bodysurfing , waves pretty bigger than this….came out without shorts ; its like a washingmachine out there . Still MAUI NO KA OI!!❤

If you see waves like this don't get in the beach this summer I almost got drowned the waves were closed and strong the moment i got up another wave would hit me and when I finally get myself out I was in the other part of the beach I was terrified though am a good swimmer I was so dizzy I had to rest like 3 minutes and I went to find my family but it was my mistake cause I underestimate the waves I was like I can swim even though I saw man were not sweaming so that was a leçon.

It's not all so fun and amazing when the excitement turns to Horror. Why are they sanding there looking. To see how invincible indestructible Superman they are. If they had any sense they wouldn't be doing this just to find out what the outcome will be. Again this doesn't always end up with a happy outcome. There playing around with there own life's and not taken into account considering about how valuable there life's is. This is how why many Adults and Children have died. Because its not always fun and games. There playing around with Fire and danger. There tired of living and don't value just how important there life's is.
